Behind the scenes of xaitControl 3.0

Get a first look at xaitControl 3.0 with integrated debugger and see the last steps to release at GDC 2010. Outstanding features in xaitControl 3.0 will be:

  • Cross-platform, live-live debugging
  • Conditional breakpoints
  • Per instance realtime view
  • History and graphical decision path
  • Manual triggering and blocking of transitions
  • Dynamic FSM updates

In the coming weeks we will show you more details of what you can experience at GDC. The debugger framework is a very important component of xaitment's AI game tools that makes the difference to simple AI engines. You can implement and design your AI.

AI designers and game designers can work with these tools and make changes to finite state machines without coding. They can check and analyze their changes with a graphical debugger, as known from MS Visual Studio and other powerful IDEs.

Learning how to use our tools is intuitive and easy - also for non-programmers. Invoked states are high-lighted or displayed in a chronological action list. Setting breakpoints, adding conditional markers, seeing and editing variables, and updating changed FSMs during runtime makes it easy to tune your system.

Our cross platform, live-live debugger allows you to run your game on a console while you work with the debugger on your PC. You have full control of the behavior of your bots and their decision path while you play your game.
