Part II of Behind the Scenes of xaitControl 3.0

Last time we took a look at the overall features of our xaitControl cross-platform, graphical debugger – which is so easy to use that even non-programmers can effortlessly handle the intuitive graphical user interface.

Featured in this behind the scenes of xaitControl, is the debugger History Browser, which gives you a precise overview of the decision paths chosen by your NPCs. Given several paths which an NPC can choose to take, the history browser shows you step by step, exactly which path was taken. This valuable information is effectively broken down into system time, game time and path description, allowing you to exactly locate problems in no time.

The outstanding features in xaitControl 3.0 will be:

  • Cross-platform, live-live debugging
  • Conditional breakpoints
  • Per instance realtime view
  • History and graphical decision paths
  • Manual triggering and blocking of transitions
  • Dynamic FSM updates

Stay tuned for our next feature on the final developments of xaitControl 3.0 before release.
