COREPLAY, based in Munich, Germany is using xaitMap and xaitMove² to develop its upcoming title and Kylotonn, based in Paris, France, is currently using the tools in a predevelopment capacity.
xaitMap solves developers’ pathfinding and pathfollowing needs, enabling developers to create automatic navigation meshes instantly. This makes it possible for game designers to change their static geometry as often as they want while being able to quickly update their corresponding nav mesh each time – even as they are playing the game. An advanced pathfinder gives developers various modes of pathfinding, ranging from extremely fast to highly detailed. xaitMove² provides developers with a high performance movement solution for individuals and groups of game characters based on nav meshes, including formation movement and crowd simulations. xaitMove² also makes it possible for individuals and groups to avoid collisions with each other, with stationary objects and with flying or thrown objects.
xaitMap and xaitMove² are made for use with all next generation gaming platforms, including XBOX 360™, Playstation®3, Wii™ and MS Windows™.
“We were able to quickly and easily integrate xaitment’s AI tools, an absolute must in the game development world,” said Peter Ohlmann, Technical Director and Founder of COREPLAY. “xaitment’s tools provide us optimal performance and we are very pleased with the outcome we have seen from using them in our game development.”
“It is a pleasure partnering with COREPLAY and Kylotonn,” said Andreas Gerber, Group CEO of xaitment. “We are excited to see the resulting games coming from these first-class game development studios.”
xaitment’s five AI game tools will be on display at the upcoming gamescom trade fair in Cologne, Germany, August 18-22. Interested persons may contact xaitment to set up a meeting or stop by the company’s booth (Hall 4.2, Stand J41) for a product demonstration.
