Application Engineer
xaitment is currently seeking an application engineer who is passionate about video games to support our sales efforts in North America. We are looking for a team player with a solid professional background and the desire to share in our enthusiasm and integrity. You’ll work directly with our North American CEO and the European development team, providing detailed technical information about our products to prospective customers and assisting them on site as well as via phone and email. You will visit game studios throughout North America and establish relationships with technical decision makers. You will play a key role in providing our development team with feedback from the field, and in doing so, will help create an AI solution that has no equal.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
You’ll bring your education and your game- and AI-development skills to the design and implementation of our AI Engine, the xait-Engine, as well as to its supporting features.
Skills and Knowledge
- A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, math, or a related field
- Experience or training in game programming or games middleware with knowledge of game development process and platforms.
- Practical understanding of AI
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with experience addressing various audiences: technical, business, financial and/or project management
- Demonstrated consultative customer management skills, including expectation setting, collaborative problem resolution, selling of services/capabilities
- Willingness to travel
- The ability to self motivate
Optional Experience
- Previous experience in supporting 3D rendering engines, Physics engines, sound engines, etc.
- Experience in working as developer support engineer in related field (graphics, audio, compilers)
- Experience with developing game AI
- We are willing to consider recent grads from a game development or computer science program
- Game/AI development skills
