Mike Walsh

Managing Director / CEO

As the CEO of xaitment, Mike Walsh heads the worldwide business, sales and growth of xaitment. Mike holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from St. Mary's College and has over 20 years experience in the video game and technology industries. During his career, Mike has helped restructure and grow several sales organizations and offers a proven management record focused on building strong customer relationships. Prior to his position at xaitment, Mike was the Vice President of Worldwide Sales for Havok where his duties included generating new business, renewing supporting contracts and managing sales operations in Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America. Mike has also served as North America and Australia Regional Sales Manager for Softimage, where he helped increase business for both the indirect and direct sales channels; Partner Sales Manager at Alias, where he assisted in the reorganization of the North American Northwest sales and oversaw sales to distribution channels; and spent 4 years at SGI, leading the rebuilding and growth of SGI's Federal sales organization.

Dr. Thorsten Maier

Managing Director / CTO

Thorsten Maier holds an M.Sc. in physics and a doctorate in applied mathematics from the University of Kaiserslautern. Prior to his position at xaitment, he spent seven years as a research scientist focusing on scientific computing. He was responsible for several scientific computing and mathematical modeling projects that were funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). Additionally, he was head of the research and funding office (Forschungsreferat) at the University of Kaiserslautern. As the CTO of xaitment, Thorsten heads the entire AI development team, which includes all research and development, and research coordination.
